The FK-01-12-R mechanical felling wedge, designed for use with a ratchet, is the perfect companion for timber harvesting. Weighing just 1.65 kg (without ratchet and bag), it is ideal for daily use in the forest. The felling wedge features spring steel claw plates/retaining plates with newly designed, curved retaining teeth/claws, which are very sharp-edged and whose cavities are welded and smoothed on the back side to prevent bending backward. The retaining teeth ensure excellent self-retention of the wedge, preventing it from slipping out of the saw cut, as they engage perfectly with the wood of the saw cut. Additionally, it features a smooth-running, self-lubricating sliding wedge made of special plastic that expands the felling wedge. With up to 12 tons of lifting force, you have a safe and practical helper at your side for tree felling.
The ball lock integrated into the hexagon allows the wedge and ratchet to be securely connected and prevents them from slipping unintentionally. However, the holes required for the ball lock weaken the hexagon. Therefore, if you plan to use an impact wrench with the felling wedge, we strongly recommend the “S” model, which features a solid, hardened hexagon.
